This invention relates to a novel use of Decamethoxine. The novel use of Decamethoxine is the use thereof as an antimicrobial agent against bacteria of the genus Burkholderia or of the species Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The invention provides the following technical result: the discovered novel property of Decamethoxine (antimicrobial activity against bacteria of the genus Burkholderia and of the species Pseudomonas aeruginosa) makes it possible to create more effective drugs for treating diseases caused by bacteria of the genus Burkholderia and of the species Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and broadens the range of drugs available for treating diseases caused by bacteria of the genus Burkholderia and of the species Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
