Disclosed is a radial pneumatic vehicle tire comprising a tread (2), a belt assembly (6), a radial carcass (7), and sidewalls (5) which are reinforced by a protective rubber layer (9) in the radially outer region thereof, the maximum thickness of said protective layer (9) being 4.0 mm. The protective layer (9) is structured into block elements (10) by a network of incisions consisting of at least one incision (12) that extends in a circular manner in the circumferential direction and a plurality of incisions (11) that extend in the radial direction. |
