A light emitting diode may include: a first electrode; a second electrode facing the first electrode; a light emitting layer provided between the first and second electrodes; and an organic layer provided between the first electrode and the light emitting layer, wherein the organic layer includes n organic layers comprising a first organic layer to the n organic layer, wherein the first organic layer is formed in a position contacting the light emitting layer, and (n-1) organic layers except for the first organic layer are laminated between the first organic layer and the first electrode, n is an integer in the range of 2 to 5, and the first organic layer contains at least one compound expressed as chemical formula 1.
