Provided is a tightening tool used to tighten a nut on a shear bolt, the tightening tool being a shear wrench which cuts a chip to ensure that a specific amount of tightening torque is applied to the nut, the tightening tool using highly versatile 18 V batteries as the power source to increase the output and improve the easiness of handling of the tool. The two 18 V batteries (B, B) are mounted next to each other as the power source in a battery mounting section (40). The two 18 V batteries are connected serially and output 36 V electric power. The battery mounting section (40) is installed straddling both the lower part of a motor section (20) and the lower part of a handle section (30) to reduce the height of the center of gravity, improving the stability of handling the tool. |
