<p>The invention pertains to a system and method allowing the bending radii of the pieces (20) to be measured instantly during the bending process in three- or four-roller bending machines (10). According to this, the bending machine (10) is provided with a left distance sensor (30) and a right distance sensor (40) which are located in both sides of the upper roller (11) in a symmetrical or asymmetrical manner, the distance between which can be changed, and which determine the coordinates ((x1,y1), (x2,y2)) of two points (A, B) on the piece (20) instantly. The coordinate information ((x1,y1), (x2,y2)) read by said distance sensors (30, 40) are transferred to the control device (50) of the bending machine (10). The control device (50) has an algorithm which determines the coordinate (x3,y3) of a third point (C) on the piece (20) using the transferred coordinate information ((x1,y1), (x2,y2)) and upper roller circle (C1) radius value and which calculates the instant bending radius of the piece (20) with the algorithm of the circle passing over the three points.</p> |
