In this automobile vehicle-body structure, front side frames (11) are provided with front-side-frame front sections (23) and front-side-frame rear sections (24). The front-side-frame front sections (23) are configured so as to have hollow closed cross sections by joining a plurality of press-worked metal panels (25-28). Furthermore, the front-side-frame front sections (23) are connected to a front wall (20a) of a dash-panel lower member (20). The front-side-frame rear sections (24) are configured from metal tubes each having, formed therein by way of three-dimensional bending, a front-side first curved section (24a) which is curved so as to be upwardly convex, and a rear-side second curved section (24b) which is curved so as to be downwardly convex. Furthermore, the front-side-frame rear sections (24) are connected to an inclined wall (20b) of the dash-panel lower member (20) via brackets (27d). As a result, when metal tubes which have been subjected to three-dimensional bending are used in front side frames, the required dimensional accuracy can be ensured while achieving strength and a reduction in weight. |
