<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of performing imaging at a specified frame rate in a continuous shooting mode and reducing noise generated by imaging in a single shooting mode.SOLUTION: A disclosed imaging device, which is set in a single shooting mode and a continuous shooting mode, comprises: an imaging element generating image data; a mechanical shutter controlling exposure of light to the imaging element; a charge block including a drive mechanism driving the mechanical shutter and a motor applying a drive force to the drive mechanism; and a control unit controlling the charge block. The control unit performs a charge operation for charging the drive mechanism by rotating the motor during an imaging operation, performs the charge operation for a period of first time if the imaging device is set in the continuous shooting mode, and performs the charge operation for a period of second time longer than the first time if the imaging device is set in the single shooting mode.</p> |
