This advertising content or media can be merged with user-generated media, forming a unified media object having greater value to users, advertisers, and content partners. These unified media objects can then be shared to the benefit of all parties. Furthermore, the disclosed technology may also use location, time, and/or social data to deliver (e.g., in real time) targeted visual or audio effects (or treatments) that can modify and enhance such user-generated media, prior to sharing it. This platform has the benefit that the effects applied are more relevant and engaging to both the user and the viewers of the user's content.
