The present invention relates to a virtual treatment experience provision device, which enables a user to understand the necessity of treatment and learn ways to deal with any side effects resulting from the relevant treatment, and a method therefor. The device may comprise: a patient information management unit for obtaining medical information, including the disease and blood count of a patient, and treatment information, including information on a treatment program and prescription information; a virtual activity provision unit for proceeding with a virtual activity according to an operation command from a user terminal of the patient and giving additional points and a point reduction according to the progress of the virtual activity; and a control unit for calculating numerical health information, which quantifies the current health condition of the patient on the basis of the blood count of the patient, selecting a first display image of an avatar corresponding to the calculated numerical health information, recalculating the numerical health information on the patient by using numerical health information configured according to the elapsed days of the treatment program and the given additional points and point reduction, and changing the first display image of the avatar to a second display image according to the recalculated numerical health information on the patient.
