The receiving container (3) comprises a fixing element (3b) by means of which the receiving container (3) can either be fixed to or removed from a door (1) of a house or an apartment, in particular without structural work in each case. The invention further relates to a method for delivery of a packet or small parcel by a delivery service to a recipient having such a receiving container (3).
