摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger that can reduce standby power when a secondary battery is not loaded by means of a single power circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The charger includes: a transformer T1 for generating first and second control voltages V2, V3 and an output voltage V1 when a switching element Q1 is switched; a charge control circuit section 7 operatively powered by the first control voltage V2 to decide a desired value of an on period; a switching control circuit section 4 operatively powered by the second control voltage V3 to provide switching control such that the on period of the switching element Q1 becomes the desired value; and a battery loading detection section 11 for detecting a connection of a secondary battery E2 on the basis of a current flowing through a resistance R3 disposed between terminals of a battery connection section 10. While the secondary battery E2 is not connected, the switching control is switched to a first state to stop the charge control circuit section 7, and while the secondary battery E2 is connected, the switching control is switched to a second state to drive the charge control circuit section 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
