The device (9) has two clamping plates comprising respective clamping surfaces (12a, 12b), where the device is moved from a closing position to an opening position for removing the clamping of a bag. The clamping surfaces are removed from each other in the opening position of the clamping device. A single-piece cover (19) has a retaining ring that surrounds the clamping plates in the closing position, such that the clamping surfaces engage a clamping position and the cover is removed for moving the clamping device to the opening position. An independent claim is also included for a cartridge comprising an adapter and a clamping device.
