APPARATUS FOR SEPERATING MULTI LAYER CERAMIC CAPACITOR

The present invention relates to an apparatus for screening a multi-layer ceramic capacitor (MLCC), which applies an alternating current (AC) to MLCC to let the current flow through the dielectric material of the MLCC by using a zero crossing control and then uses the properties of a temperature for self heating to screen the MLCC. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: an AC source supplier supplying an AC to an MLCC and letting the current flow through the dielectric material of the MLCC to make the MLCC heated by itself; a thermal imaging camera disposed apart from the AC source supplier to measure the temperature of the MLCC; and a controller connected individually to the AC source supplier and the thermal imaging camera to let an AC applied to the MLCC at the zero crossing point, and receive the temperature measured by the thermal imaging camera and compare the same with a predetermined reference temperature to determine whether the MLCC is good or not.
