Disclosed are a method and a system for semantic interpretation of medical data. The medical data interpretation system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an interface part which is inputted with medical image data from a medical device; a text data processing part which recognizes text included in the medical image data and outputs the recognized result in a text format; and an image data processing part which recognizes a type of an object included in the medical image data and then outputs the recognition result. The method can judge whether the data processed in the text data processing part and the image data processing part is clinically normal using a medical information database. According to the embodiment of the present invention, the method can recognize and process the type of the text and the object included in the medical image data inputted from the medical device connected to a gateway, and can use the processed data in clinical test and marketing by storing the processed data in a database by item according to the content thereof and then analyzing and performing statistical computing automatically.
