A laminated panel 2 comprises a carrier substrate 4, a light source 6 and a stone veneer 8 wherein the light source when in use will shine directly or indirectly on to the stone veneer. At least two of the layers may be adhesively or mechanically secured. The light source may comprise a light guide itself comprising one or more optical fibres which may be woven in to a textile substrate. The light source may comprise one or more LEDs. The panel may further comprise a light diffuser and/or layers of reflective material. The veneer may be of natural stone. Further claims are included where the carrier substrate is a transparent material. Also included are claims to a vehicle dashboard or time comprising such a panel which may include an electrical connection to the vehicle circuitry. |
