<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect movement of a moving image on a printing result and to obtain the printing result which a user desires when a still image is extracted from a moving image file generated by combining the moving images of a plurality of scenes to print the still image. <P>SOLUTION: When the still image is extracted from a moving image file 300 generated by combining the moving images of the plurality of scenes to print the still image, the total number of scenes of the moving image file 300 is divided by the number of frames that can be printed at maximum in a vertical direction included in paper information at equal intervals and the scene to be printed is determined.
