<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield of a welding steel wire and to reduce manufacturing cost thereof by stably manufacturing the welding steel wire containing REM. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the welding steel wire 1 used for gas shielded arc welding, wherein: alloy steel powder containing 2 to 60 mass% of REM and the balance comprising Fe and unavoidable impurities is included in a steel covering 2; and when the mass of alloy steel powder 3 is taken to be M<SB POS="POST">PW</SB>(g) and the mass of the steel covering to be m<SB POS="POST">SH</SB>(g), an inclusion rate 100×M<SB POS="POST">PW</SB>/(M<SB POS="POST">PW</SB>+ m<SB POS="POST">SH</SB>) of the alloy steel powder in the welding steel wire falls within a range of 0.01 to 25.0 mass% and when the mass of REM contained in the alloy steel powder is taken to be M<SB POS="POST">RE</SB>(g), then, the content percentage 100×M<SB POS="POST">RE</SB>/(M<SB POS="POST">PW</SB>+ m<SB POS="POST">SH</SB>) of REM in the welding steel wire falls within a range of 0.01 to 0.5 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
