<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select modes which are ranked in expectation values from variation patterns, and to select announcement performance patterns by a lottery via these modes, in the selection of the announcement performance patterns in which each announcement performance is displayed at each variation pattern. <P>SOLUTION: When a variation command is transmitted from a main control device 14 and the information of the variation patterns or the like is transmitted, a symbol control device 23 of a sub-control part 16 selects the modes by the lottery so as to correspond to the transmitted variation patterns. At this time, a mode selection table is used, a determination value corresponding to each mode and a random number for selection are compared, and the modes are decided. Next, the announcement performance patterns executed at the announcement performances are selected by using an announcement performance pattern selection table.
