GARDENIA EXTRACT MANUFACTURING METHOD AND COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THE EXTRACT OF GARDENIA

The present invention relates to a method for producing a gardenia extract and a cosmetic composition containing the extract and, more specifically, to a method for producing a gardenia extract, including: a first step of hydrolyzing at 40-60 deg. C by adding polysaccharide hydrolase into a mixture of gardenia fruits and distilled water; a second step of inactivating the polysaccharide hydrolase by treating at high temperature above 90 deg. C; and a third step of filtering out the extract obtained from the second step and then processing the same into powder after concentration and drying, and also relates to a cosmetic composition containing the gardenia extract. Therefore, the present invention ensures production of various cosmetic compositions which show excellent skin friendliness and protect skin from ultraviolet rays.
