<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding tool capable of surely holding a protective sheet on a surface of a columnar erected body. <P>SOLUTION: In a holding tool 1, by rotation of a screw rod 19, arm parts 7, 8 move to a closing direction and a contact part 22 on a tip of the screw rod projects between the arm parts. Contact parts 71, 81 of the arm parts and the contact part of the screw rod contact a side face of a columnar erected body P to fasten the side face of the columnar erected body P from the three sides. Action transmission parts 11, 12 extending from a shaft part 4 to a side substantially opposite to the arm parts are formed. An expanding part 20 connected to the screw rod moves to the shaft part side by the rotation of the screw rod, and enters between the action transmission parts so as to expand them.
