<p>The invention provides a filtering device which can prevent generation of short current flow that may reduce filtering function and which is good in filtering function. A filtering chamber is filled with right amount of fiber filter members, wherein the filtering chamber is located between a perforated plate constituting a support plate of the filter members and an upstream side perforated plate opposite to the perforated plate in a flow direction of raw water, and one end of the fiber filter members are fixed on the perforated plate and the other end of the fiber filter members are fixed on the upstream side perforated plate. In addition, the fiber filter members comprise rope-shaped core materials the length of which is longer with a predetermined amount than that of the filtering chamber in the flow direction of the raw water; and a plurality of resin fiber which is implemented with a fluffy treatment and protrudes to be a radial shape from the outer circumferential side of the core materials and forms numerous annular shapes. The core materials are provided with parts with specified length and without the resin fiber around but only with the core materials.</p> |
