<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire suppression device for electric equipment, capable of promptly detecting the abnormality of electric equipment, sensing heat generation at the stage prior to a fire, and surely extinguishing a fire on the occurrence of the fire. <P>SOLUTION: The fire suppression device for electric equipment includes: high-voltage electric receiving and transforming facilities 10 for receiving high-voltage electric power; a noncontact infrared sensor 20 for monitoring a high-voltage cable 11 disposed in the high-voltage electric receiving and transforming facilities 10; a control device 40 connected to the noncontact infrared sensor 20; and a fire-extinguishing device 30 which is disposed in the high-voltage electric receiving and transforming facilities 10 and is designed to inject a fire-extinguishing agent on the instruction of the control device 40. The noncontact infrared sensor 20 collects intense infrared rays corresponding to the temperatures released from the high-voltage cable 11, and transforms the collected infrared rays into analog current signals. The control device 40 back-calculates the temperature from the analog current signal, and outputs an abnormal annunciation signal if the temperature reaches a first threshold value. Further, if a back-calculation value of the temperature reaches a second threshold value beyond the first threshold value, a fire annunciation signal is output, and a command to inject the fire-extinguishing agent is given to the fire-extinguishing device 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
