[Class 65 (ii)] [See also Group XXXIV] In a bush bearing, the bush b makes a sliding fit within its housing, and is electrically welded thereto topreventrelative displacement. As shown, the bush b of hardened steel and the housing have recesses c, d, respectively, at which the welds e are made. In a modification, the bush is split longitudinally and the welds are formed at the ends of the split. When worn, the bush can easily be removed after the welds have been broken. |
