Provided are an axial vibration damper and an engine for a ship including the same, wherein the axial vibration damper comprises: a body part arranged such that a crankshaft of an engine for a ship including a cam part in a ring shape can be penetrated, including a pair of oil chambers being in contact with both side parts of the cam part to accommodate oil inside, and at least one intercommunicating hole formed on an upper end of the pair of oil chambers respectively; a lower frame combined with an upper part of the body part, including a cap intercommunicating hole corresponding to the intercommunicating hole, and a step part formed by recessing an upper end; and an upper cover combined with an upper end of a lower frame to form an oil intercommunicating flow path together with the lower frame. Accordingly, the moving path of oil can be prevented from being closed by minimizing a moving path for oil. |
