The invention relates to a rotor blade (20) of a wind turbine (10) with a first rotor blade segment (30) and a second rotor blade segment (40). The rotor blade (20) comprises a hollow space (51) surrounded by a shell (52). The first rotor blade segment (30) is connected with the second rotor blade segment (40) by a bolt connection. The bolt connection comprises a first connection means of the first rotor blade segment (30), a second connection means of the second rotor blade segment (40), and a bolt (61) establishing a bolted joint between the first connection means and the second connection means. At least the bolt (61) is situated in the hollow space (51) of the rotor blade (20). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of connecting a first rotor blade segment (30) of a rotor blade (20) of a wind turbine (10) and a second rotor blade segment (40) of the rotor blade (20).
