<p>The folding top (10) has two top bearings (26) fixed on a vehicle body. A pivotal rear window carrier (28) is coupled to a top linkage (16), such that the carrier is raised when the top is closed and is lowered when the top is lowered. The linkage is coupled to front links (34) mounted on the carrier on both sides for raising the carrier. The carrier is coupled on both sides to one of the bearings by rear links (32). The top linkage is coupled to one of the front links by coupling elements (40) for displacing the carrier between a raised position and a lowered position.</p>
