A machine tool 30 includes a main control unit 110 that controls the axial movements of at least one of a tool attachment device and a workpiece attachment device, automatic operation mode buttons 15 and manual operation mode buttons 16 that perform the switching among manual operation modes and automatic operation modes, axis selection buttons 20 to 29 and an axis selection dial 166 that select target axes for axial movement by the main control unit 110 in the manual operation modes, a door 37 that covers a machining area 70 for a workpiece machined by a machining tool 48, and a window 39 that is provided in the door 37 and allows a worker to monitor the machining area 70 therethrough. The machine tool also includes a transmissive display device 60 that displays the movement directions of axes selected by operating any one of the axis selection buttons 20 to 29 or the axis selection dial 166, on the window 39. |
