<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read explanatory information on a head word for each constituent element of the word out of a desired dictionary database and cause the information on the individual constituent elements to be collectively displayed. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic dictionary 1 comprises: a display unit 40; a ROM 80 that stores multiple kinds of dictionary databases 820 in which each head word is stored in association with explanatory information including information on a plurality of constituent elements regarding the head word; a custom dictionary setting table 840 in which one or more constituent elements out of the plurality of constituent elements are set by a user operation in association with one of the dictionary databases 820; an input unit 30 to which a searched-for character string is inputted according to the user operation; and a CPU 20 that reads out from each of the dictionary databases 820 set in the custom dictionary setting table 840 each item of information on the constituent elements of an element name out of items of explanatory information on the head word corresponding to the searched-for character string and causes the display unit 40 to collectively display the read-out items of information on the constituent elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
