According to the present invention, a spindle motor comprises: a shaft; a sleeve of a hollow cylindrical shape to support the shaft to be rotated, and coated with a plated layer on the external circumferential surface; and a base having a support portion which has a hollow portion in the center to insert and fix the sleeve, and coated with the plated layer. The internal circumferential surface of the base and the external circumferential surface of the sleeve are bonded with an adhesive. In addition, the present invention includes a method for combining the sleeve and the base of the spindle motor.
