The present invention relates to a height control apparatus and a chair having the same. The height control apparatus comprises: a lever axially coupled to be rotated to one side of a rotation plate provided for a seating unit; a pressing member pressing an opening and closing pin provided for an upper end unit of a cylinder when the lever is rotated to lock or release a contracting motion of the cylinder; and a wire of which both ends are connected to the lever and the pressing member to transmit a rotational force of the lever to the pressing member. Therefore, the height control apparatus is provided for the seating unit without an assembly to enable a user to control height of the seating unit in accordance with a body type or a working condition of the user. |
