The organic electroluminescence display device of an embodiment of the present invention includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels formed on the substrate, and a sealing film that covers the plurality of pixels. The sealing film includes a first barrier layer, a base layer covering the top surface of the first barrier layer, an inter layer locally formed on the top surface of the base layer, and a second barrier layer covering the top surface of the base layer and the top surface of the inter layer. The inter layer is formed so as to cover a step on the top surface of the base layer.

1. An organic electroluminescence display device comprising:
a first substrate; a plurality of pixels formed on the first substrate; a sealing film that covers the plurality of pixels; and an underlying layer beneath the sealing film, the underlying layer having a flat top surface and a raised top surface ascending from the flat top surface, the flat top surface and the raised top surface being covered by the sealing film, wherein the sealing film comprises: a first barrier layer in a shape corresponding to the underlying layer to have a corner portion just above a boundary between the flat top surface and the raised top surface; a second barrier layer that covers the first barrier layer; and an interlayer between the first barrier layer and the second barrier layer, the interlayer covering the first barrier layer at the corner portion thereof, the interlayer having a first end portion just above the raised top surface and a second end portion just above the flat top surface, the interlayer having an upper surface in physical contact with the second barrier layer, the upper surface having a curved shape to dent downward toward the corner portion from an imaginary line segment connecting points at both edges of the first end portion and the second end portion.
