The present invention relates to a protein derived from mistletoe, a pharmaceutical composition with preventive and treating activities for fatty liver by containing the protein as an active ingredient, an investigation of the protein and a functional food. A purpose of the present invention is to provide the mistletoe-derived protein having 6 kDa in molecular weight measured by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), a functional food for preventing or treating fatty liver containing the protein as an active ingredient, and a pharmaceutical composition.
