The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing black alumina. More specifically, the method for manufacturing black alumina comprises the following steps: making slurry by wet mixing Al_2O_3 as a starting material, any one or more components selected among TiO_2, Fe_2O_3, MnO_2, and TiC as a coloring agent, and MgO as a sintering aid; and sintering the slurry by drying and shaping the same. According to the present invention, a sintered body, which is effective in expression and maintenance of a black color and is compact, can be obtained, and an alumina sintered body having excellent properties such as sintered density, reflectance, color, insulation resistance (room temperature), bending strength, coefficient of expansion, and the like can be manufactured. |
