Composite pile formed of interconnected rigid hollow tubes

A pile connecting metal bracket adapted to be secured to a structure to be supported by a metal pile is described. The bracket has a pair of elongated straight vertical support flanges in a pair of spaced-apart horizontal guide walls secured across the vertical support flanges. The guide wall guides driven hollow metal tubes of the pile. A drive mechanism is removably connected to an attachment. The pile connecting bracket is secured to a structure and the metal tubes of the pile are connected to the metal bracket after the metal pile has been driven into soil to a position of rest whereby the pile can support the structure.

1. An assembly adapted to be secured to a structure, the assembly comprising:
a pile adapted to support the structure, the pile including at least a first hollow tube; a pile connecting bracket comprising:
a pair of elongated straight vertical guide walls spaced-apart in parallel relationship,at least a pair of spaced-apart horizontal guide fitments extending across a space between said vertical guide walls and secured to said vertical guide walls, each said horizontal guide fitment having an aperture defined therein, said first hollow tube received in close fit through the aperture of each of said horizontal guide fitment and extending between said pair of elongated straight vertical guide walls,drive mechanism attachment members extending from the vertical guide walls, andattachment flanges connected to said vertical guide walls and provided with securement apertures for receiving fasteners to secure said pile connecting bracket to said structure; and wherein an uppermost portion of said pile is immovably connected to said pile connecting bracket after said pile has been driven into soil to a position of rest.
