Disclosed are a reversed electric dialysis power generation apparatus using an electric double layer capacitor and a control method thereof. The reversed electric dialysis power generation apparatus using an electric double layer capacitor according to the present invention comprises: an electrolysis cell having storage cells in which seawater and fresh water are separated to be stored respectively by using an anionic exchange membrane and a cationic exchange membrane arranged alternately therein as separated from each other; valves installed respectively on pipes for supplying and discharging the seawater and the fresh water to the storage cells to control the flows of the seawater and the fresh water; a capacitor arranged in the outermost block of the electrolytic cell and storing electric charges extracted from the movement of ions passing through the anionic exchange membrane and the cationic exchange membrane; a measurement part for measuring the electric charges in the capacitor; and a control part for controlling the valves according to the electric charges measured by the measurement part.
