Disclosed are a power seat for a vehicle and an operating method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the power seat for a vehicle may comprise: a DC/DC converter boosting an output voltage of a battery; a motor which receives the output voltage of the DC/DC converter; and a motor control unit controlling the DC/DC converter so that the boosted output voltage can be applied to the motor in case a high speed mode operation command signal is inputted from the outside, thereby increasing a moving speed of a seat.
