A method for setting the connection of user equipment (UE) according to the present invention includes: a step of transmitting a random access channel (RACH) message to a macro cell; a step of receiving a medium access control protocol data unit (MAC PDU) approximate level timing advance (TA) for a small cell suitable for data transmission with the UE from the macro cell; a step of receiving a connection setting message from the macro cell; a step of transmitting a sounding reference signal (SRS) having the approximate level TA message to the small cell to measure the TA; a step of receiving MAC PDU TA from the small cell; and a step of setting a connection cell with the small cell for uplink/downlink (UL/DL).
