A muffler for a saddle-ride type vehicle and a saddle-ride type vehicle having such muffler. A main body pipe portion (42) of an outer pipe (31) is extended in a predetermined first direction. AN inner exhaust pipe (32) includes a first pipe portion (51), a second pipe portion (52), a third pipe portion (53) and a fourth pipe portion (54). The first pipe portion (51) accomodates a catalyst (33) and is extended from a first opening portion (41) of the outer pipe (31) in a second direction. The second direction is slanted with respect to the first direction. The second pipe portion (52) is extended from the first pipe portion (51) in a direction parallel to the first direction. The third pipe portion (53) has a shape bent in a U-shape from the second pipe portion (53) in a direction parallel to the first direction. |
