The present invention relates to a method for adjusting the brightness of an ultrasound image, which comprises the following steps: generating at least one first image which displays an interest area by using an echo signal corresponding to ultrasound radiated toward the interest area; adjusting the brightness of the first image based on an external signal which selects at least one among a plurality of prestored gradation data and a plurality of image data; generating a second image which displays the interest area based on the adjusted brightness; and displaying the first and second images.
