FIELD: transport.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, particularly, to vehicle engine temperature control, particularly, to dual-purpose vehicle engine control. This drive system comprises cooling system with engine fan. Cooling and drive system control is executed by electronic control unit that can access the forthcoming route topographic data. Proposed comprises: determination of forthcoming route topography, evaluation of engine load in compliance with said topography and evaluation of cooling system temperature variation at said route. Then, drive system is controlled in compliance with design temperature variations so that cooling system current temperature at the route is kept lower than the first threshold temperature related with that whereat engine fan gets actuated. Besides, engine choke is controlled so that cooling system current temperature is kept lower than said threshold magnitude, and/or engine output torque is limited, and/or gear shifting algorithm is controlled so that cooling system current temperature is kept lower than said threshold magnitude.EFFECT: efficient control over engine temperature, fuel saving.9 cl |
