The device (20) has a bracket (22) for positioning an electric component (10) i.e. signal cable of an anti-lock braking system (ABS) sensor, where the bracket is equipped with a mounting surface (29) for supporting an element on a vehicle axis (1). A heat shielding unit (23) is integrally arranged on the bracket, where a side of the heat shielding unit facing the axis extends along the length of the electric component. The heat shielding unit is formed as an open channel through which the vehicle axis extends.
