<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-shielding civil engineering material which combines a water-shielding function, strength and elasticity after solidification, although using steel slag as the main material.SOLUTION: A water-shielding civil engineering material 100 is formed by mixing steel slag 1 having latent hydraulic properties with sodium silicate 2 and water 3, in a ratio of the sodium silicate 2 to the steel slag 1 of 20-90 mass% and a ratio of water 3 to the sodium silicate 2 of 10-100 mass%. The steel slag 1 is a fine powder having a specific surface area of 1,700-4,000 cm/g.</p> |
