The positions (distances to and angles of objects to be imaged, on-screen positions and distances, and so forth) of objects around a traveling vehicle are measured using an object position measuring means typified by a stereo camera (8), an estimated orientation (at least one of roll, pitch, or bounce) is calculated in accordance with the measuring results, and suspension control is performed for each wheel side. The vehicle orientation detection device is configured such that the stereo camera (8) measures the positions of at least two substantially still objects and measures the positions of the still objects again in the same manner when a predetermined amount of time has passed, and a controller (9) processes at least four measurement values output from the stereo camera (8) in order to calculate the orientation of the vehicle during travelling. |
