This fixing device is provided with a fixing belt (22) that is provided so as to be able to rotate, a pressure-applying member (23) that is provided so as to be able to rotate and presses up against the fixing belt (22) so as to form a fixing nip (52), a heat source (24) that is positioned radially inside the fixing belt (22) and emits radiant heat, and a reflecting member (25) that reflects the radiant heat emitted by the heat source (24) towards the inside surface of the fixing belt (22). The reflecting member (25) has a first reflective section (61) and a second reflective section (62). The first reflective section (61) is angled towards the fixing nip (52) on the upstream side with respect to the direction in which a recording medium is conveyed. The second reflective section (62), which is provided farther from the fixing nip (52) than the first reflective section (61) is and downstream of the first reflective section (61) with respect to the direction in which the recording medium is conveyed, covers the downstream side of the heat source (24) with respect to the direction in which the recording medium is conveyed. |
