Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for automatically adjusting interface elements. The method comprises: acquiring an adding operation signal generated by adding a new interface element by a user, and determining a position at which the new interface element is to be placed and required space according to the adding operation signal; and when it is determined whether remaining continuous space of a first interface is sufficient for placing the new interface element according to the position at which the new interface element is to be placed and the required space, adjusting positions and sizes of interface elements on the first interface according to the position at which the new interface element is to be placed and the required space, so that the remaining space of the adjusted first interface is sufficient for placing the new interface element. In the method, positions and sizes of interface elements can be automatically adjusted when the space of the first interface is insufficient, so that the first interface is sufficient for placing the new interface element, a user does not need to manually operate the interface elements, better experience is brought to the user, and the use efficiency of a user interface is improved. |
