A liquid ejecting head comprising: a pressure chamber formation member on which a pressure chamber communicating with a nozzle is formed; an actuator unit that includes a piezoelectric element formed by laminating a first electrode, a piezoelectric layer, and a second electrode in this order at a position corresponding to the pressure chamber and is laminated on the pressure chamber formation member; and a sealing member that is bonded to the actuator unit with an adhesive in a state where the piezoelectric element is accommodated in an accommodation cavity formed in the sealing member, wherein the piezoelectric element is extended from a position corresponding to an opening of the pressure chamber to an outer position beyond an opening edge of the pressure chamber, and the piezoelectric layer includes an exposure portion from which the second electrode is removed on the extended portion, and the exposure portion of the piezoelectric layer is covered by the adhesive between the actuator unit and the sealing member; wherein the exposure portion of the piezoelectric layer is located between a terminal portion which is formed on an end portion of the extended portion of the piezoelectric element and is electrically connected with the first electrode and the second electrode in an extension direction of the piezoelectric element.
