PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an appropriate inspection in accordance with a content of an image in systems inspecting a result of an image formation output on the basis of a difference between a read image and an inspection-purpose image.SOLUTION: A image inspection device is configured to: acquire a read image that is created by an image subjected to an image formation output being read; acquire tag bit information that has a content of an image of an image formation output object set in each sub-divided region having the image divided into a plurality of regions; acquire a master image to be compared with the read image for inspecting the read image; and execute an inspection of the read image by the comparison of the read image with the master image in a mode according to the tag bit information.
