The present invention relates to a method for analyzing an optical link failure. The method includes the steps of: determining whether a peak of an OTRD trace exists; analyzing a failure as one of reflection failures if the peak exists; analyzing the failure as one of non-reflection failures if the peak does not exist; and reporting an analysis result of the optical link failure.
