PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect presence or absence of abnormality in an AC motor, without using a conventional encoder, and the like, by a current value from a current sensor provided in a power line between a servo amplifier and the AC motor.SOLUTION: Drive detection method and device of an AC motor acquire information (9), consisting of a rotational speed (7b) and torque (7a), from a current value (7) of a current sensor (6) provided at a part of power lines (3, 4, 5) to an AC motor (1), via a conversion operation unit (8), and stores the information (9) in an external storage section (10). A rotational speed/torque characteristics comparison operation unit (11) compares the information (9) at the normal time with that at the abnormal time, thus detecting the drive state of the AC motor (1). |
