A communication system provided with a transmission device and a reception device, wherein the transmission device comprises a buffer which holds first data to be transmitted, a transmission means which transmits the first data to the reception device, a reception means which receives second data returned by the reception device, a comparison means which compares the second data and the first data held by the buffer, and a control means which instructs the transmission means to retransmit the first data when the result of the comparison by the comparison means shows a mismatch.
